The Campusloop is a competition organized by Kronos since 2010. There used to be a yearly running competion called the “Hoge Lage Torenloop”, HLT for short. This match was 15 kilometers and started in Oldenzaal and finished on the campus. However, since 2004 this competition proved to be less and less successful. Eventually it was cancelled in 2009.
But during the GA of Kronos in 2009, there were immediate plans to start a new road competition for students on the campus. It was intended to be a competition for and by students. So the first Campusloop committee was born. This committee organized the first Campusloop on March 31 2010, and it was a big succes. There were two distances, 2 and 4 mile, for men and for women. It was a big succes! There were 237 participants and most of them students. The competition continued next year, and that how every year Kronos organizes the “Kronos Campusloop”.
